Travel Tip: Save Digital Copies of Your Travel Documents

Before leaving for your next vacation, save secure digital copies of your important travel documents. If something is lost, stolen or unavailable, having backup copies can make it easier to access important information and request assistance.

Consider saving copies of your:

  • Passport identification page

  • Driver’s license or government-issued ID

  • Visa or required entry documents

  • Flight itinerary and boarding information

  • Hotel and resort confirmations

  • Cruise documents

  • Airport transfer and excursion confirmations

  • Travel protection policy

  • Emergency contact information

Store these documents in a password-protected folder or secure cloud account that you can access while traveling. You may also want to share copies with a trusted family member who is not traveling with you.

Remember: A digital copy does not replace your original passport, identification or other required documents. It simply provides a helpful backup if an unexpected situation occurs.

A little preparation before departure can save you time, stress and frustration during your trip.
